What Our Customers Say About Us

David H, Remos GX

From first impressions onwards, Airmasters inspires confidence. The hangar, workshop, stores are modern, well equipped and clean. Within a few words of meeting Gary you know that the business that carries his name means business.

My annual / Permit renewal were carried out by Gary, Norman and Dan with great diligence. Gary also navigating the 'interface' with the CAA.

Chrissi and Mel in the admin / customer care department were very efficient and delightful.

Sulby is a 45 minute flight from my strip but Airmasters is very much worth the journey.

It's now nine and a half years and 2300 hours since I bought my Ikarus for my flying school, Ampsair at Peterborough, Conington. It has always been maintained by Airmasters and that will continue as the work is always completed promptly and properly. Gary has shown a most welcome and positive understanding of AOG, that's Aircraft On The Ground with a problem and earning no money. AOG is bad news for a flying club as you just do not want to disappoint your members through lack of aircraft availability. On the few occasions that this has happened to us Gary has come straight away to solve the problem and keep us flying. That's been really helpful.

Long may he stay in business.

I cannot recommend Gary and his team more highly when it comes to their professionalism and expertise in servicing Rotax engines. Having been based at many airfields previously, I have used numerous engineers to service my engines but I have no hesitation in saying that Gary and his team are by far the best I have had the pleasure of dealing with. I will not use anyone else.
Happy flying!

My association with Gary goes back to 2007, my limited knowledge of him at that time was that he was working for Flylight at Sywell, he came to me saying that he would like to set up his own business and would I have any support work that I could put in his direction. From his reputation the short answer was “yes”, it was to this time that I asked Gary if he could support me as soon as he was available which he did acting as an independent company trading as Airmasters.

From that point forward he has supported the Flight Design aircraft with professionalism that is second to none. I have never heard of a negative comment made against the work that Gary has been involved with.

It doesn’t surprise me as anyone who has sight of his service van and the workshop that he has developed at Sulby Northamptonshire would be left in no doubt it is equipped to carry out any mechanical problems that may arise with Rotax Engines, Flight Design Aircraft and most other makes of light aircraft together with a small amount of cosmetic refurbishment of same.

As I see the future for Airmasters UK Ltd it must be only a bright one with the addition of Daughter, Chrissi working in the office with her Mother, Melanie and the support of part time engineers who are very capable, plus other professional, retired or otherwise

The Airmasters team led by Gary are very experienced and knowledgable and service delivered from their well equipped base has always been highly professional, friendly and timely.

I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Airmasters for all of your aviation needs.

Top engineers. Modern and well equipped workshop, and a good cup of tea!

I flew up to Sulby last month (located in beautiful surroundings) to have my 912 Gearbox inspected/serviced (600 hours) plus Carbs serviced and balanced. I was extremely well looked after by Melanie, Chrissi and Gary. Airbnb was organised and local pub table booked for me (great pizzas and beer/wine list).

After a brief communal cuppa, Gary and Norman immediately started work on the gearbox and were happy for me to watch the proceedings, keeping me informed as to what was happening and making recommendations for general 912 Rotax maintenance procedures.
Also: On Gary's recommendation my method of gurgling the 912 pre-flight has been drastically modified and my ageing shoulders have felt the benefit!
Gary kindly picked up fuel for me and Gary / Melanie delivered me to and from the Airbnb.
After departure from Sulby next day, a pre-planned stop at Turweston was made. A minor adjustment (which could have waited until I arrived at my home airfield) was required and Gary was insistent that he would drive the 45 minutes from Sulby at no charge to perform the adjustment.
This was all great service from a small and efficient family business. A most enjoyable visit. Like Arnie - "I'll be back".
